Chris has a unique set of skills, and found an opportunity to utilize all of those skills for good when he and a surgical group traveled to Ukraine at the beginning of the Russia invasion to teach tactical combat casualty care to civilians, as well as provide any medical relief that was possible.

Listen as Paul walks us through the beginnings of ultrasound, and how we have reached the point of potentially viewing ultrasound as a pre-hospital diagnostic tool. Paul is a champion of EMS, and believes with the right training, EMS can certainly make a huge impact on successful patient outcomes through the use of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) testing in the field.

In this episode, we were lucky enough to sit down with none other than Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Allison Dupont.
Dr. Dupont is a board-certified cardiologist in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. She has a clinical interest in cardiogenic shock, minimally invasive structural procedures including MitraClip and Watchman, and in catheterization techniques that help reduce complications in high-risk patients. Dr. Dupont has extensive experience in caring for critical cardiac patients, including being one of the leaders developing the ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) for one of the leading cardiac centers in the southeastern United States.
Join us as Dr. Dupont guides us through ECMO and the treatment of patients in cardiogenic shock, and how ECMO and ECPR is paving the way to the future standard of care.

Join us in the first official episode of Medic Class Citizen | HP as we sit down with our first high performer, Chris Vanbrenk.
Chris's story is beyond unique, as he has a perspective of a paramedic and paramedic instructor, but he also has even more to offer to his high performance experience.
During his tenure in the U.S. Army, Chris was a member of one of the most elite military teams in the world, as he was a Green Beret. Not only was he a Green Beret, but Chris was also an Officer, tasked with the giant responsibility of leading men in battles, missions, and ultimately war.
Following his time in the military, Chris pursued and achieved EMS certification, including his paramedic certification. From there, Chris has excelled in the pre-hospital and hospital arena in North Carolina, where he is also a paramedic instructor.
Chris is also very passionate about fitness and mindfulness, as he has a project where he pours in to those suffering from PTSD, and teaches them mindfulness techniques through the use of yoga, and his blog.
